Autodesk 2011 launch

The 2011 Autodesk Launch will be held at AIE Watson this year.

The launch will be on Wednesday the 11th August 1pm till 3pm. This is an event that will showcase the 2011 Maya, Mudbox and 3ds max software.

This event is free and is open to the public. It is a great opportunity for you to come along and have a look at the latest software on offer.

AIE Game for Merrick, Dools and Ricki Lee

AIE have pledged to make an XBox 360 Game as part of Nova's "For Love or Money" campaign.

The game we pledged will see Merrick, Dools and Ricki Lee fight it out to be the No. 1 Radio Hosts Nationally.

To Vote for AIE go to: http://www.novafm.com.au/Nova969/Poll.aspx?id=95768&s=239&v=1, register and then vote everyday.

If we all vote, we could win up to $10,000.

Opportunites for Screen & Media students

For all second year screen and media students Screen Australia is once again holding Screen Australia's Springboard provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for creative filmmaking teams to create a short film that speaks directly to their feature film screenplay, providing a strong showcase into the marketplace.

Springboard will target outstanding teams one step away from making their first professional feature film, and assist them with defining, writing and producing a short film that is a creatively and professionally relevant calling card to their feature project.

Deadline is Monday 2 August 2010

Another great event you should consider attending is the
SPAA Fringe, hosted by SPAA.

This is a two day event that educates, connects and inspires filmmakers. Here, you will have the opportunity to pitch your project from SBS, ABC, Foxtel, distributors and established producers.
This event is comprised of workshops, roundtables, one-on-ones, panel discussions screenings and social networking events. It also offers a unique opportunity to spend quality time with established film makers, TV executives and other industry professionals. This event will be held on 22nd and 23rd October at the Power House Museum, Sydney.
